You build structures by simply stacking the planks. No glue, no connectors. They can be stacked upright which looks like it would be unstable as a house of cards, but even this type of structure is surprisingly stable.” Each day class will begin with individual building challenges, move to group challenges and then finish up with free time for building. During challenge activities students will practice different problem solving techniques as well as learning to work cooperatively in a group. Along the way they will learn some basic engineering, architectural, math and science skills.

In fact, did you know that research shows that students who play with blocks tend to do better in mathematics and science in higher grade levels? Well, it’s true and researchers from the University of Idaho have concluded that playing with blocks helps children develop a fundamental understanding of quantities, equality & geometry. Dive into an exciting course where kids in grades 3 -5 get to step into the fascinating world of storytelling and filmmaking. With just the right balance of structure and creative freedom, students will explore the art of filmmaking by selecting their story, theme, and genre from a curated set of fun ideas, transforming them into unique, well-crafted plots.

Our well-crafted curriculum guides students through every step of the process. They’ll start with pre-production, participating in a “Writer’s Room” to brainstorm and develop original ideas for their very own short film. From there, they’ll dive into scriptwriting, crafting compelling stories, and collaborating to create shot lists and detailed storyboards. As they move into the production phase, students will bring their ideas to life—building props, preparing scenes, and shooting their short films. Finally, in the post-production phase, they’ll review a rough draft of their video, provide feedback, and see their hard work come together. This course allows students to explore every step of the filmmaking process while fostering teamwork, creativity, and technical skills.

CineCraft will enable your student to:

  • Create Original Stories by stepping into the roles of scriptwriters, bringing their ideas to life on screen.
  • Ignite Imagination as they explore the world of filmmaking and storytelling, discovering the magic of visual storytelling.
  • Role Playing as students become the actors, directors, writers, and cinematographers of their own films.

Note: We love to keep parents updated on the class progress. We have established three key communication points: a teacher introduction to start the semester, a midpoint update featuring progress and activity photos, and a final email summarizing the semester’s achievements.

At Soccer Stars, we use the soccer ball as the vehicle to help children improve their soccer skills, build self-confidence in the game of soccer and life, and learn what it means to be a good teammate both on and off the field.

Our curriculum was developed by early childhood educators and soccer professionals. Our structured classes teach soccer FUNdamentals through imagination and play--each class has a theme (i.e. the beach, outer space, race track) which makes learning fun! Our coaches are patient and a ton of fun; they not only love working with children, but also enjoy developing these skills in a nurturing and non-competitive environment!

In our 3rd-5th grade program, players will improve their creative capacity through technical skill development and small-sided games. This allows for freedom of expression with the ball—a vital concept is emphasized with the introduction of 1v1 dribbling and defending games. The addition of opponents allows the player to make decisions under pressure. High repetition ball control activities help each player become more proficient with the ball. *Each child will receive a Super Soccer Stars Medal at the end of the season.

Communication: Each week, you’ll receive an email outlining what your child is learning in class, including the specific skills they’re focusing on. We encourage you to use this as a conversation starter to ask your child about their day. Additionally, we use a platform called Homeroom, where coaches share photos and videos from class throughout the season.

Returning players: At Soccer Stars, one of core philosophies (aside from having fun), is repetition, repetition, repetition. The way to get better at soccer is through consistent practice! Our coaches do a great job tailoring the soccer curriculum to your child and their class to ensure everyone is learning at their own speed and getting the most out of the class
