STEAM Enrichment (K-5)

Science Technology Engineering Arts Math = STEAM

The DPIE STEAM Enrichment Academy consists of the After School Program and the Summer Program for elementary school students. It is our goal to help students develop a love and interest in learning either by exploring programs of high interest or taking courses that are outside of their normal classroom experience. All courses are designed to be fun as well as challenging.

After School courses are open to all Dublin Unified School District students.

Summer Program courses are open to students from all school districts.

What is STEAM?

STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths

STEAM classes explore a wide variety of life opportunities that help build skill level, expand life experiences and enhance critical thinking skills as well as tap into artistic talents.

STEAM challenges students to learn and apply learned content and skills to real-life problems and projects which promote new world answers and discoveries.

STEAM provides the chance to continually evaluate interests, experiences and talents which will assist in choosing middle school, high school and college courses of study.

Whether today's students go on to be artists, doctors or politicians, we know that the challenges their generation faces will demand creative solutions. We should fully expect that, in the coming decades, many of our best leaders will come from art and design backgrounds. STEAM is gaining traction as a movement in government and research circles as well. House Resolution 319, introduced by Representative Jim Langevin (D-RI), and still in play, 'expresses the sense of the House of Representatives that adding art and design into federal programs that target Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields, encourages innovation and economic growth in the United States.'

The STEAM Enrichment Academy is a separate and independent organization from Dublin Unified School District receiving NO funding from the district. 100% of our operating costs come from the fees that are charged to the parents of our students. Any profits generated by the Academy are donated back to support programs in the Dublin Unified School District. This includes Schools, Parent Faculty Clubs, Student Councils, educational programs and more.
